Help pollinating bees in your garden! Give your garden a palace fit for bees!

The bee palace from beepalace.com is a nesting home for solitary bees: red mason bees (osmia rufa) and leafcutter bees (megachile centucularis). Hang the bee palace on a fence or wall in a sunny sheltered spot and enjoy these docile bees as they go to work pollinating your fruit and flowers!

Your garden is a vital to protecting and feeding these charming bees, so growing flowers for nectar and pollen and giving them a secure and stable shelter will help reverse the general decline of bees in our gardens and in the countryside.

The bee palace was developed by Nick Edmonds and Duncan Green in Hampshire, UK. Made using aircrete, a lightweight block that combines strength and durability with excellent weather-proofing qualities. It means you can leave the bee palace in situ throughout the year!

The bee palace is filled with nesting tubes which are perfectly designed to provide shelter for the eggs that the bees lay throughout the spring and summer. They seal the end of the tube and the young emerge in the following spring. Simply replace the nesting tubes in spring once the young have broken through the seal of mud or leaves.
